The book entitled Biogas Technology was recently published by Springer Nature. Biogas technology plays an important role in wastes treatment, renewable energy development, and greenhouse gas emission reduction, and has been paid much attention by many countries. This book , which consists of nine chapters, covers the main aspects of biogas technology, providing academic references for researchers, students and other stakeholders. Starting with anaerobic microorganisms for biogas digestion, it introduces basic principles and technological features of three biogas fermentation systems---household biogas digester, biogas digester for domestic sewage treatment and biogas plant digester. It then expounds material and structure of equipment for biogas fermentation, gas storage, gas upgrading and refining, biogas utilization and digestate utilization. Publication of the book is in response to China’s Belt and Road Initiative to share its biogas technology with other countries, thus enhance international communication and cooperation.
