Training Course on Biogas Technology, Rural Energy and Environmental Protection for Developing Countries successfully held in BIOMA
On June 14, the closing ceremony of the “Training Course on Biogas Technology, Rural Energy and Environmental Protection for Developing Countries in 2016” was held at Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture (BIOMA) in Chengdu. The course is sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM) and organized by BIOMA. Senior officials from the Special Commissioner’s Office of MOFCOM in Chengdu, Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce and BIOMA were present at the closing ceremony.
Mr. TIAN Shuguang, Director at the Special Commissioner’s Office of MOFCOM in Chengdu said that all participants had harvested not only the biogas technology itself, but also a better understanding of China and a deeper friendship with Chinese people from this program.
Mr. LU Ping, Division Director of Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce (DOC) hoped that participants could make contributions to the economic cooperation between their countries and China.
BIOMA’s Deputy Director General Mr. HU Guoquan said, this training had established a good platform for exchanges and communication on biogas development, rural energies and environmental protection, which would continue to play an important role in future cooperation .
Participant representative Mr. Derje from Ethiopia said that the training and management were really well programmed, all the participants had learned useful knowledge for developing biogas in their home countries.
This course is the 65th training session held by BIOMA. It lasts for 42 days from May 5 to June 15, and has 28 participants from 11 developing countries.
