BIOMA Holds Training Course on Biogas Technology for Asian
On October 12. 2016,the “Training Course on Biogas Industry Promotion and Management for Asian Countries in 2016” opened at Biogas Institute of Ministry of Agriculture (BIOMA) in Chengdu. The course was sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM) and organized by BIOMA. Senior officials from the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) of MOFCOM, Special Commissioner’s Office of MOFCOM in Chengdu and BIOMA were present at the opening ceremony.
Mr. XU Kai, Director of the Liaison Office of HR Development of AIBO extended a warm welcome to training participants and hoped that this course would not only serve as a platform to learn technology but also help to develop friendship and cooperation between China and other Asian developing countries.
Ms. FU Yan, Deputy Special Commissioner of the MOFCOM in Chengdu Office,said that biogas seminars are one form of the various foreign aid programs and have benefited many developing countries. She hoped that participants could take the biogas technologies back to their home countries and make biogas training as a role model for all foreign aid trainings.
Ms. CAI Ping, CPC Party Secretary and Deputy Director General of BIOMA introduced the biogas development situation in China and hoped that participants could conduct extensive and in-depth exchanges with BIOMA experts to share China’s biogas technology and experience.
Participant representative Ms. Ko Jo Vi from Malaysia expressed gratitude to China for inviting participants to this course. She believed that this seminar would help improve the waste management and environment in the respective countries of the participants.
This course was the 69th international training course organized by BIOMA since its establishment. It lasted for 21 days from October 10 - 30, and had 57 participants from 8 Asian countries. Participants learned biogas technology and engineering design and visited typical biogas projects after staying in Chengdu for the first 10 days, they went to Kunming, Yunnan province which lies in southwestern of China and then to Beijing for study tours.
